Our Story

Our beloved Brooks was born still at 38 weeks and 4 days on October 29, 2024. He was 7 lbs, 10 oz, 20.5 inches long, and perfect in every way. During this difficult and chaotic time, Will overheard the nurse say that she was going to get the cuddle cot. At that moment, he was not sure what she was talking about. Once it was in the room with Brooks placed in it, we learned that this special bassinet would allow us to keep him with us as long as we needed. This gave us the time and opportunity for our families to meet and hold Brooks—something that we did not know was possible. During these traumatic hours, we were able to make lifelong memories with our first child. While making funeral arrangements, we decided that in lieu of flowers, we would like to set up a fund to give other families going through a similar tragedy the same comfort that the cuddle cot gave us. 
Almost 4 months to the day, we were able to donate our own cuddle cot in Brooks' name.  In addition to this, we were also informed that Brooks impacted the nurse's life as well, and she is now leading bereavement training for all the nurses in the Labor/Delivery department.
